The first trailer for Jennifer Lopez’s upcoming Netflix documentary ‘Halftime’ has been released.
While the documentary charts J.Lo’s rise to fame, the trailer for the feature film is framed by Lopez’s determination to be “taken seriously” by the media, her peers, and the respective music and film industries.
“I lived in the public eye, and I really believed a lot of what they said,” Jennifer Lopez says at the beginning of the clip, while flashes of past interviews — including with a journalist who probes the entertainer about her “butt”.
“It was hard. I just had a very low self-esteem,” Lopez admits while her voice plays over an image of her crying in bed. “I had to really figure out who I was and believe in that, and not believe in anything else.” – She says.
Halftime follows the career of Jennifer Lopez, stardom, sexism with a heavy focus on her performance at the Super Bowl LIV Halftime Show and more.
The documentary premiers on Netflix on June, 14th.
