Jack Dorsey has officially left his post as a member of the board of directors for Twitter.
Founder and former CEO Jack Dorsey is leaving the board the same day as the shareholder meeting, according to reports by Axios and TheStreet.com.
It was announced as early as November of last year when Dorsey stepped down as CEO, where Twitter noted that he would remain on the board until an expiration date coinciding with this year’s meeting for shareholders.
This is an end of an era, as Dorsey — who co-created the company as early as 2006 — has also been tied to the company in some working capacity until now.
There’s currently a lot of uncertainty surrounding the platform as the transfer of power to Elon Musk continues to unfold.
