Before Season 4 of the hit Netflix series Stranger Things, fans have had some questions about the sexuality of one of the series’ characters, Will.
There was a moment in Season 3 where Will, played by Noah Schnapp, and Mike (Finn Wolfhard) ended up fighting about their friendship and Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown) with Mike shouting “It’s not my fault you don’t like girls!” at will. Since then, fans have theorized that Will might be gay.
Stranger Things producer Shawn Levy has addressed the fan questions surrounding the sexuality of Noah Schnapp’s Will Byers.
While speaking to Entertainment Weekly, Levy did not directly answer the question of whether Will is gay but instead gave the explanation that – they provide “clear intention and strategy and real thought” for each character. ”Without getting into where we go later in Season 4 [Volume 2], I guess I’ll just say that there aren’t many accidents on Stranger Things,” the producer said. “There is clear intention and strategy and real thought given to each and every character. So, if you came away from Volume 1 feeling those bread crumbs of plot and character, it’s probably no accident.”
Whether or not Will could be gay and in love with Mike – is evident on the show, there are too many scenes, especially scenes where Milly Bobby Brown and Mike (Finn Wolfhard), have him as a ‘third wheel”
