Drake is starting this week at No. 1 on Billboard’s 200 with ‘HONESTLY, NEVERMIND’ – his latest album release and a follow-up to ‘Certified Lover Boy’ – arriving only nine months after the GRAMMY-nominated album.
The set is a sonic left-turn from the hip-hop giant, as it is “almost entirely composed of moody electronic atmospherics and body-moving dancefloor heat” and “leans on the house music scene”
Earning a total of 204,000 equivalent album units in its first week, the 14-track record also earned 11,000 in album sales and 2,000 in track equivalent album units.
The newest album from the rapper also marks 2022’s fourth-largest streaming week for an album so far and is Drizzy’s 11th chart-topper.
This makes him the fifth artist with more than 10 number 1 albums on the Billboard 200.
He joins The Beatles, JAY-Z, Bruce Springsteen, & Barbara Streisand.
