YouTube has updated its latest creator guidelines – and changes that will take place starting July 29th.
Among the changes made by the streaming platform is “Making ALL subscriber count visible”. According to YouTube , “displaying all channels’ subscriber counts will make it harder to impersonate others”.
YouTube is also “expanding mentions to all channels” . All channels will be able to use the “@” symbol to mention other channels or be mentioned regardless of their subscriber counts.
YouTube is also “limiting channel name characters“. YouTube has reduced the set of special characters available for use in new channel names to reduce spam and abusive behavior. Existing channels that use these special characters aren’t affected.
YouTube users can now use YouTube Studio with the YouTube Studio app on their mobile device.
