Grammy-winning singer and actor Olivia Newton-John has dies at 73. Olivia was well known for her role in film Grease and songs such as Physical and You’re the One That I Want.
Olivia’s husband, John Easterling, says she died peacefully at her ranch in Southern California Monday morning, surrounded by family and friends. Olivia has battled breast cancer for more than 30 years, a specific cause of death was not given, although a source close to Olivia told said, “After a 30-year cancer journey, she lost her battle to metastatic breast cancer.”
Tributes from fellow actors around the world are still trickling in.
Her Grease co-star John Travolta said she “made all of our lives so much better” while its director said- “What you see is what you get with her.”
Her role as high school student Sandy in the film Grease that catapulted her to worldwide fame. It l was the biggest box-office hit of 1978.
Scores of fans have sent their heartfelt condolences.
