Slated for release on October 31, this revealing film promises to offer an intimate look at her rise to superstardom,—- fame, grief and success.
The documentary will be all about Megan’s most vulnerable moments, allowing fans to connect with her on a deeper level.
According to a press release, it aims to “unpack Megan’s most vulnerable moments in a powerful way that allows fans to meet the real Megan Pete.”
Megan Thee Stallion: In Her Words is directed by Nneka Onuorah, with co-production from Carmen Cee and Mackenzie Hill.
The documentary boasts a strong executive production team that includes Loren Hammonds, Dave O’Connor, Lori York, Desiree Perez, Alexa Conway, and Ian Orefice.
The project is a collaboration between Amazon MGM Studios, TIME Studios, Roc Nation Production and Nneka Productions.
One of the pivotal moments in Megan’s life, and likely to be highlighted in the documentary, is the shooting incident involving Canadian rapper Tory Lanez in July 2020.
Following a party, Lanez allegedly fired a gun at Megan’s feet, resulting in serious injuries.
This incident not only sparked widespread media attention but also ignited important discussions around gun violence and the treatment of women in the music industry.
