Although the song was released like a year ago, It’s been a global hit , almost riding a slow burn. We’ve all had a good time with the Jerusalema dance, from Tik- Tok, to corporates, events to it actually being the second most Shazamed song in the world. After one half of the Jerusalema hit song complained of not getting a dime for her contribution to the global hit , record label ”OPEN MIC” has fired back . On his Twitter page yesterday , Master KG claimed that the songstress has also been doing Jerusalema tours without him .
The label has further claimed that Nomcebo wants a 70/30 cut for the jam , consequently the feud . She posted yesterday on her Instagram page and further elucidated that the matter was now with her lawyers. Kgaogelo ‘Master KG’ Moagi , still affirms that this squabble and feud is because the singer is demanding more than she is owed. Master KG is currently touring France.
In a statement that was released by Open Mic Productions, the two artists had initially agreed to split the loyalties from the song 50/50. It was drafted last year for both artists to sign. After the songstress’s legal team reviewed the contract, they changed their mind and since then there has been the wavering. The contract has not been signed yet, consequently none of them has received payment yet , this was according to OPEN MIC’S publicist Brendon Maseko. This is what the statement read in part. While all this back and forth was and is still ongoing, Nomcebo knows what is holding up her payment, the publicist added.
