Miss world Kenya has been under the management of Ashley’s Kenya Limited since 2005 where after the competition a winner is sent to represent Kenya for Miss World. Kenya did not have a representative in 2020 due to the impact of Covid-19.
Maria Nyamai Wavinya represented Kenya in 2019 at the 69th edition of the Miss World pageant. She was among the top 12 contestants. The event was held in December 14th at the ‘ExCeL London’ , in London United Kingdom. Vanessa Ponce of Mexico crowned her successor Toni-Ann Sigh from Jamaica.
Size 8 Reborn and Robert Burale are among the judges who will make a decision this year on who will wear the highly coveted crown. They will join Mrs Terry Mungai who is the Miss World Kenya franchise director. She is the Founder and CEO of Ashley’s Kenya limited. Other judges include , Thomas ‘Big Ted’ Kwaka, Graham Shaw, Magline Jeruto who was Miss world Africa in 2017 among others.
The winner of Miss World Kenya will represent Kenya in the 70th edition of Miss World pageant which will be held in December 16th, 2021 at the Coca-Cola Music Hall in San Juan, Puerto Rico. Toni-Ann Singh from Jamaica will crown her successor.
