‘Epic Games’ will donate its Fortnite proceeds earned from March 20 to April 3 toward humanitarian relief operations for the victims of war-torn Ukraine, the company announced.
The donation will be split between Direct Relief, UN Children’s Fund, UN World Food Programme and the UN Refugee Agency.
Between March 20 and April 3, proceeds from all Fortnite purchases will be distributed, including V-Buck packs, Fortnite Crew, gifted Battle Passes and cosmetic packs.
Using V-Bucks in Fortnite will not be included as those are not real-money purchases.
Additionally, Epic will donate the fees from existing or re-activated Fortnite Crew subscriptions that are processed during the two-week interval.
Epic said that it will separately fund all creator affiliate payments from code usage during this period, so the earnings of creators won’t be affected by the program.
