Contrary to popular belief, Offset has clarified that he is not biologically related to his fellow Migos members, Quavo and Takeoff.
In a recent interview with Variety, the Father of 4 revealed that he and Quavo were actually classmates and not cousins as previously assumed.
Offset explained that their close bond began in the sixth grade when they started hanging out together with Quavo’s nephew, Takeoff.

The trio spent time in the basement of Quavo’s mom’s house, where they developed their unique “triplet flow” that ultimately propelled Migos to mainstream success.

Reflecting on Takeoff’s untimely passing, Offset expressed the difficulty of discussing such a sensitive topic, stating,
Talking about all this shit is hard. That’s why I don’t, to be honest.
That shit hurts. Like, it’s gonna put me in a mood, and I don’t want to get in that mood.
Some things I don’t never tell nobody. He’s not here.
That shit feels fake, bro, I get through my day thinking it’s fake. And I don’t say nothing to nobody about it.”
I’ve never talked about this stuff. Seriously. Talking about Take is hard, man”.
