In a recent email addressed to DStv subscribers, MultiChoice CEO, Calvo Mawela, shared exciting news about the upcoming changes to the DStv app, which will be rebranded as “DStv Stream” starting from 1st August, yesterday.
Taking into account the valuable feedback from customers, DStv Stream will introduce a range of new features aimed at enhancing the user experience.
One notable addition will be the introduction of individual profiles for each family member, allowing for personalized content recommendations and viewing preferences.
Moreover, users will have the option to change soundtracks to their local language where available, adding to the inclusivity and accessibility of the app.
Sports enthusiasts will benefit from the new league and tournament pages, designed to make it easier to follow their favorite teams, cups, and leagues.
Additionally, DStv Stream will offer improved content personalization, making it easier for subscribers to discover content that aligns with their interests.
The update promises a smoother and simpler streaming experience overall.
While the email did not mention any changes to the streaming limit, which currently restricts simultaneous streaming on more than one device, the focus appears to be on enhancing the app’s features and functionality.
In a related development, MultiChoice also announced plans to revamp Showmax.
The revamped platform aims to feature an expanded selection of international content and further improve its live sports offerings, alongside its popular lineup of African Showmax Originals.
With these upcoming updates and improvements, DStv Stream and Showmax users can look forward to an enriched entertainment experience tailored to their preferences and interests.
