Breaking Bad star Aaron Paul made a surprising revelation at the SAG-AFTRA picket line outside Sony Pictures Studios.
Joined by fellow cast members Jesse Plemons and Bryan Cranston, Paul disclosed that he doesn’t receive any payment from Netflix for the streaming of the popular series, despite its ongoing popularity on the platform.
Expressing his astonishment, Paul commented,
Bryan Cranston clarified that their appearance at the picket line wasn’t about vilifying the studios.
Sony Pictures was responsible for Breaking Bad, its Better Call Saul spinoff, and the Netflix movie El Camino.
Cranston emphasized,
We’re not making them the enemy. They are not villains.
These are people that we all will be working with once again at some point. We just want them to see reality.”
