Marvel Studios has unveiled a new preview and an exclusive IMAX poster for “The Marvels,”.
The movie offers over 30 minutes of IMAX-exclusive expanded aspect ratio, providing up to 26% more visual content in specific scenes.(IMAX films have an aspect ratio of 1.90:1, which is much wider than the standard 1.85:1 or 2.39:1 aspect ratios used in most films)
This offers unparalleled clarity and sharpness for IMAX audiences, complemented by next-generation IMAX precision sound for an immersive cinematic adventure.
Directed by Nia DaCosta, known for the reboot/legacy sequel of “The Candyman,” the film stars Brie Larson as Captain Marvel, Teyonah Parris as Monica Rambeau (also known as Photon), and Iman Vellani as Ms. Marvel.
The ensemble cast includes Zawe Ashton, Gary Lewis, Seo-Jun Park, Zenobia Shroff, Mohan Kapur, Saagar Shaikh, and Samuel L. Jackson reprising his role as Nick Fury.
The storyline centers around a collaboration of Marvel’s female superheroes, intertwining their extraordinary abilities. The Kree, known adversaries from “Captain Marvel,” and S.A.B.E.R., an extraterrestrial counterpart to Marvel’s S.H.I.E.L.D., play pivotal roles in the narrative set in outer space.
In Marvel Studios’ “The Marvels,” Carol Danvers, also known as Captain Marvel, has liberated herself from the oppressive Kree and sought vengeance against the Supreme Intelligence.
However, unforeseen consequences force Carol to shoulder the responsibility of a universe in turmoil.
As her mission leads her through an unusual wormhole connected to a Kree revolutionary, her powers become intertwined with Jersey City super-fan Kamala Khan, aka Ms. Marvel, and Carol’s estranged niece, now S.A.B.E.R. astronaut Captain Monica Rambeau. This unlikely trio must unite and learn to harmonize their abilities to safeguard the universe as “The Marvels.”
“The Marvels” is set to premiere in theaters and IMAX on November 10.
