MultiChoice Kenya – the prominent pay TV and entertainment provider in the country has unveiled two exciting new local shows.
These shows will be accessible on Maisha Magic Plus, now available on DStv Access and GOtv Plus, in a campaign aptly named “Tumefungulia Magic”.
KA – SIRI
The first show, “Ka-Siri”, delves into the timeless theme of “the rich also cry”.
The narrative centers around Zula, an immensely wealthy man whose life is tragically cut short in a home invasion. This event turns into a story of passion, deception, startling discoveries, and hidden secrets.
With over 100 episodes, “Ka-Siri” promises a prolonged viewing journey for it’s audience.
“Ka-Siri” will be airing every Monday to Wednesday at 19:30 EAT from Monday, October 9, 2023.
ZARI
Meanwhile, “Zari” presents a modern Cinderella story, following Nina, a young woman whose true lineage and inheritance have been concealed from her.
Will Nina ever reunite with her biological father, Dylan? And will her adoptive family face consequences for their deceit?
“Zari” is set to premiere on Monday, October 23, 2023, and will be aired every Monday to Friday at 20:30 EAT.
Citizen TV Journalist Rashid Abdallah, the producer of both shows, expressed his gratitude to MultiChoice Kenya for their support of local productions.
He noted the financial challenges of film production and commended partners like MultiChoice for enabling Kenyans to tell their own stories, thereby creating job opportunities across various sectors in the film industry.
As industry players, we are delighted to have partners like MultiChoice who allow Kenyans tell their own stories
that are authentic, that speak to the cultural and societal nuances that are alive in them – while creating jobs for actors, actresses, chefs,
transporters, real estate owners, make-up artists, video editors, sound producers, camera crew, set designers
among others in the film ecosystem.”
