In a recent appearance on the Armchair Expert podcast, John Cena discussed the long-standing feud between his Fast & Furious co-stars Vin Diesel and Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson.
The 46-year-old actor opened up about the challenges posed by the disagreements between his fellow cast members.
During the podcast discussion led by host Dax Shepherd, Cena acknowledged the difficulties of having Johnson and Diesel collaborate on set, echoing sentiments that have circulated since around 2016 when they initially worked together on the fifth installment of the franchise.
There’s certainly rumors about that. I can’t deny that.
You have two very alpha, driven people, You get two.
There can only be one.”

During the podcast, Cena talked about the importance of honoring the Fast & Furious series, regardless of any personal differences.
The feud between Diesel and Johnson concluded when Johnson unexpectedly rejoined the franchise, despite previously stating he wouldn’t return.
In late 2021, Diesel invited Johnson to participate in Fast X, but Johnson declined.
Although Diesel publicly invited Johnson to the finale, Johnson declined in a CNN interview the following month, citing a private resolution.
However, Johnson later confirmed the reconciliation, tweeting about moving forward with brotherhood after the premiere of Fast X.
