There are more shows on. When I joined the only shows were Reflections on KBC and Wingu La Moto on NTV. Nowadays there are more opportunities for more actors so it can only get better. This is such a good time to be an actor, we have more movies and TV shows than ever before. I’m excited.

The one thing we have to work on is the writing. The technical part is sorted we just need to make the stories better. Also, the pay has to get better.

What does professionalism mean to you?
Professionalism is all about doing what needs to be done and done right. There are people who do it well. More and more are making it a better environment.

Q. Your best or most memorable project so far…
Theatre: Butterflies Are Free – a play where I played a blind musician. I spent a month at the school for the blind learning braille and how to walk with blindfolds. It helped mold the character and it was a great show. Special shout out to Nice Githinji who was my co-actor.
Screen: MTV Shuga- I played a sheng speaking thug turned rapper. And as you know my sheng and Kiswahili is wanting! I spent weeks in eastlands and listening to ghetto radio. I remember eating soke; Food at a kibanda that got me sick. I wrote rap songs and hung out with some dope artists. And Shirleen Wangari was the best co-star ever.
