The ominous debut trailer for The First Omen has emerged, serving as a prequel to the 1976 cult classic, The Omen.
Positioned as the inaugural prequel in the franchise, which has seen two sequels and a remake led by Liev Schreiber, The First Omen takes us back to the origin—the birthplace of the devil, as noted on Wikipedia.
Accompanied by an eerie soundtrack, the dialogue-free trailer conveys its message through title cards appearing in the silence: “To Control Those Who Don’t Believe, Create Something To Fear.”
The haunting trailer concludes with the sole lines of dialogue, breaking the silence of the full-minute preview.
An off-screen voice reassures, “You don’t have to be afraid. This child is his way.”
[Free] then encounters a darkness that causes her to question her own faith and uncovers a terrifying conspiracy that hopes to bring about the birth of evil incarnate.”
The film will be out from April 5, 2024.
