Lil Nas X is set to showcase a more personal side of himself in an upcoming HBO documentary titled “Lil Nas X: Long Live Montero.”
Widely recognized for his attention-grabbing PR stunts, the documentary will provide insight into Lil Nas X’s mental health, sexuality, and his familial relationships.
The documentary’s trailer captures moments of Nas X’s daily life, starting with him waking up at home, followed by scenes of him walking on the beach, entering the recording studio, and gearing up for a live performance.
He says in the documentary,
When I was a kid, my sexuality was just this elephant in the room.
I started getting bad anxiety attacks,
Coming out was very important to progress.”
The documentary will also provide a behind-the-scenes look at the creation of his self-titled album, Montero, and the worldwide tour in support of the LP.
