Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo headline the adaptation of Broadway’s iconic Wicked, set to unfold in two installments.
The teaser takes you teaser away to the Land of Oz.
We find Glinda Upland (portrayed by Grande) and Elphaba Thropp (embodied by Erivo) crossing paths amidst their studies at Shiz University.
The initial shock of Glinda encountering Elphaba’s distinctive green hue gives way to an unexpected bond as the two forge a friendship despite their differences.
There is a foreboding warning from Elphaba, voiced with haunting intensity by Erivo.
She hints at the dark forces within her that threaten to unleash havoc upon Oz.
Joining Grande and Erivo are an ensemble cast of luminaries, including Michelle Yeoh as the formidable headmistress of Shiz University, Jonathan Bailey as Glinda’s romantic interest Fiyero, and Jeff Goldblum as the sinister wizard poised to challenge our heroines.
Wicked: Part One is scheduled to premiere later this year on November 27 (IMAX), while Wicked: Part Two is due on November 26, 2025.
