After nearly a decade of anticipation, which included the news in June 2021 that production on the film had concluded, the first trailer of the Borderlands movie is finally out.
The action-packed preview, running just under three minutes, showcases stars such as Cate Blanchett portraying Lilith, Kevin Hart as Roland, Jamie Lee Curtis as Tannis, Ariana Greenblatt as Tiny Tina, Florian Munteanu as Krieg, and Jack Black lending his voice to Claptrap.
Directed by Eli Roth, the film’s storyline remains true to the themes of the video games, while also existing as a standalone narrative separate from the events depicted in the games.
Borderlands is scheduled to hit theaters on August 9th.
Borderlands is a feature film based on the popular video game set on the abandoned fictional planet of Pandora where people search for a mysterious relic.
