The Moana 2 teaser trailer, released a few days ago, has become the most-watched trailer in Disney Animation and Pixar history, with over 178 million views in its first 24 hours, surpassing Inside Out and Frozen.
Dwayne Johnson and Auli’i Cravalho return for the sequel, directed by David Derrick Jr., Jason Hand, and Dana Ledoux Miller.
Initially planned as a TV series, the project is now a theatrical release, set for November 27.
A live-action Moana remake, featuring Johnson as Maui, is slated for release in July 2026.
